OUR PROGRAM
LEGIONAIRES Philosophy
Legionaires believe achieving lasting success is simple. Do things the right way. Focus on fundamentals, honesty, integrity and consistent hard work. Be a quality person on the diamond and away from the park. We believe in climbing the ladder of success one rung at a time. When Legionaires leave our program, they know they have earned their baseball success and are extremely prepared for the next step.
OUR GOALS
Our program seeks to deliver an outstanding Elite level baseball experience at an affordable rate for parents. Teaching the game the right way and knowing when players move on that their future coaches will state "this player was coached well and taught to play the game the right way". Our teams are proud members of the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO). With a rich history of college placement and MLB draft selections, the Premier Baseball League of Ontario has one of the most decorated track records of any amateur baseball league in North America.
The PBLO is made up of the following like minded Elite programs: London Badgers, Sarnia Brigade, Ontario Yankees , Ottawa-Nepean Canadians, Oshawa Legionaires, Sudbury Voyageurs, Tecumseh Thunder, and Midwestern Ontario Bearcats. The Premier Baseball League of Ontario is proud to showcase Canada's most decorated amateur atheletes across the 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U levels. Together, PBLO member franchises provide amateur players with the resources and playing platform required to live out their collegiate and professional dreams. Complete overview below at the end.
LEGIONAIRES Players
Our program is based on building a wide base of skills. We do this by playing a challenging, competitive schedule each season that includes a development fall season, PBLO regular season and play-offs as well as a tough US Showcase tournament schedule, creating a strong team environment for players to compete with other like-minded players to challenge them while providing a top notch coaching staff that is passionate about every player showing continuous improvement to move to the next level in baseball.
LEGIONAIRES Staff and Facilities
Our coaching staff ensures fundamentals are sound while continually assessing what each player needs to reach their full potential. Our program also offers a unique benefit by providing certified coaching staff as well as specialized coaches for hitting, catching, speed & agility, pitching, strength and education. Legionaires players and teams benefit from playing out of one of the top ball parks in the province (Kinsmen Stadium) as well as training out of the outstanding Oshawa Civic Fieldhouse Facility. It's all about the little things including home game experience that includes, PA announcer, scoreboard, music between innings and walk up songs, on site batting cage, tand eam clubhouse with stalls. While pre-game MLB style batting practice prior to each DH enhances development and the big league experience.
College Baseball
Our players want to continue their baseball careers eventually playing college ball and of course dream of professional baseball. We support them by having them fully prepared to get to that level and stay there by teaching our players how to be prepared for the college baseball recruiting process and beyond in order to enable them to make the best decision possible for their future baseball careers. Our experience based approach helps deliver these outcomes. we provide a College Education consultant to all teams to educate and support our players and parents about the college process and path.
We want the absolute best for our players and our organization works hard to provide it to each one of our players by living our philosophy, providing a top-shelf coaching staff and the equipment and facilities to help them every step of the way.
